2023 | film festival posters inspired by films that remind the viewer how small man is amidst nature.

The films that inspired these posters all reset the audience's perspective on nature: it is vast, dangerous, unique, and beautiful— let's appreciate it humbly and often.

Standpoint is a film festival inspired by 3 of my favorite short films! The first is the documentary series where Dick Proenneke builds his home-by-hand in remote Alaska. The second is The Ultimate Run, where Markus Eder blows the minds of skiers around the world. The third is Under and Arctic Sky, by Chris Burkard. He captures six surfers conquering waves... in Iceland... in a snow storm.
